Places I Wanna Visit and Why

These are all the places I am planning to visit before I die. I ALWAYS wanted to travel when I got older and I've already been to some really great places, but I'm hooked and want more (just like tattoos!)!! So, without further adieu, here are the places I want to put my footprint on before I kick the bucket:
1. Ireland ~ I went there when I was 18 (it was a graduation gift from my grandmother..she was born and raised in Ireland and wanted her grandchildren to know where they came from). It was THE most captivating place I've ever been....I couldn't appreciate as much as I would now because I was younger and didn't realize just how amazing it was to be there, walk where my grandmother walked. But I want to go back there with my husband (he has Irish roots, too) and see it all again.
2. Africa ~ My husband grew up in West Africa (his parents are missionaries) and was evacuated when he was a freshman in high school, when they were told they weren't going to go back, he was devastated and wanted to go back just to get some closure. He was fluent in 2 different languages over there (3 including English) and knew a little of the language of the tribe they were working with. I want to learn those languages and see where he grew up and where a lot of his memories were made. I also have a girl I sponsor in Uganda and want to go meet her, hug her and let her know how much I enjoy sponsoring her and helping her gain a future.And plus, Africa is just freaking beautiful. If I could, I would visit EVERY country in Africa! But for now, Sierra Leone and Uganda are on my list. If I get to see other countries while I'm there, BONUS.
3. Iraq ~ I know...it's a strange one. But, my husband is a Marine and fought over there. I want to see what it's like. I am fascinated by their culture and want to understand more about why they do what they do. I also REALLY want to learn Arabic and be able to use it over there. (Can you tell I'm a language person??)
4. India ~ I heard this CD about 2 years ago and they focused their whole album around one tribe in India: the Dalits. From what I understand, they are one of the lowest groups on the caste system. They had some Dalits on there singing their native songs and some even talking in their native language while some interpreted. It made me wonder what that country is actually like and made me want to explore the reasons for a caste system and to find out if that system is effective or not.
5. New Zealand ~ My husband and I wanted to go to New Zealand for our honeymoon, but didn't have enough money for it. So, it got bumped to my "I will go someday" list. That's really the only reason I want to go! Plus, New Zealand is fun to sign.
Those are my top 5 places I want to visit before I die. There are more, but my fingers are tired!!!
